Powerful twin earthquakes struck Venezuela on June 24, killing at least 32 people and injuring more than 700. The 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude quakes flattened buildings, triggered dozens of aftershocks, and left rescuers racing to find survivors as a state of emergency was declared.The quakes were the strongest to hit Venezuela in more than 125 years.Internet connectivity has dropped sharply across the country, including Caracas, after power and telecommunications infrastructure were damaged.
